Israeli occupation forces tightened their military measures today, Wednesday, at most of the entrances and exits of the governorates in the West Bank.

Local sources reported that the occupation intensified its procedures around Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Jerusalem, Nablus, Hebron, Jericho, and Tubas. The occupation closed Ein Sinya and Atara checkpoints and continued to close the northern entrance to Al-Bireh. Meanwhile, the area around Jerusalem witnessed severe traffic jams after soldiers searched vehicles at the "Jabaa" checkpoint north of Jerusalem for those leaving Ramallah heading south. Additionally, the occupation closed the "Hamra" checkpoint east of Nablus in both directions connecting Nablus to Jericho and the Jordan Valley. The sources indicated that the occupation closed the areas of Ras Al-Jura, Sidat Al-Fahs, and Al-Nashash in Hebron governorate, while the northern entrance to Jericho and the Anab checkpoint south of Tulkarm remained closed.

Additionally, the "Al-Murb'a" and Awarta checkpoints around Nablus experienced severe traffic congestion due to the thorough searches conducted by occupation soldiers on vehicles. The occupation forces also closed the Tayaseer checkpoint east of Tubas to civilian movement in both directions, preventing vehicles from reaching their workplaces in the northern Jordan Valley.

In this context, the Director of Education, Azmi Blawna, stated that about 130 teachers were unable to reach schools in the northern Jordan Valley, and around 800 students—some from remote encampments—did not attend school due to the inability of education buses to reach them because of the occupation's measures. Moreover, the occupation forces closed the Atouf gate southeast of Tubas, restricting the movement of farmers
