PCBS notes a decrease in registered imports in goods in November 2023

A decrease in registered imports in goods in November 2023, in comparison to the previous month, according to a report by Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

Exports increased in November 2023 by 9% compared to October 2023. While it decreased by 36% compared to November, 2022 and reached USD 100.8 Million.

Exports to Israel decreased in November, 2023 by 5% compared to October, 2023 and it represented 66% of total exports in November, 2023.

On the other hand, exports to other countries increased by 54% during the same period compared to October, 2023 and reached USD 34.3 Million.

Imports decreased in November, 2023 by 14% compared to October 2023. It also decreased by 33% compared to November, 2022 and reached USD 502.5 Million.

Imports from Israel decreased by 16% in November, 2023 compared to October, 2023 and it represented 55% of total imports in November, 2023.

At the same time, imports from other countries decreased by 11% compared to October, 2023.

The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed a decrease in trade deficit by 18% in November, 2023 compared to October, 2023. It also decreased by 32% compared to November, 2022 and reached USD 401.7 Million.
