Jenin / PNN /
A Palestinian who was earlier today critically injured from Israeli army gunfire during an assault on the northern West Bank city of Jenin has died of his wounds, according to the Ministry of Health.
It said Ashraf Mohammad Ibrahim, 37, a former prisoner and an officer in the General Intelligence Service, has died after sustaining wounds from two explosive bullets that hit his abdomen and chest.
Local sources in Jenin said that the martyr was an officer of the Palestinian General Intelligence Service during the raid into the city of Jenin, which they deliberately stormed on a daily basis.
Eight people were injured during this morning’s Israeli army raid of Jenin, most in the limbs.
The Israeli incursion comes within the framework of an Israeli policy implemented by the far-right government in Palestinian cities with the aim of embarrassing the security services and the various Palestinian ministries in front of the Palestinian people and showing them that they are incapable of protecting them.
