Bank of Palestine has launched a new campaign to encourage payments through its bank-owned point-of-sale machines, under the slogan "No matter which bank you use... you and the merchant both benefit". The campaign targets Bank of Palestine customers, as well as local and foreign bank customers who use their plastic (bank) cards, in addition to merchants who use Bank of Palestine's machines.
The new campaign offers the chance to win 10 daily prizes worth the value of purchases made in various Palestinian cities and governorates.
Mahmoud Shawwa, CEO of Bank of Palestine, emphasized that the campaign is part of the bank's strategy and direction to contribute to promoting and spreading the culture of electronic payment in our Palestinian society, including Bank of Palestine's customers and other bank customers.
This is the first campaign of its kind, where the bank will give prizes to its customers and customers of other local and international banks who make purchases through Bank of Palestine's point-of-sale machines, as part of its responsibility to achieve financial inclusion.
Shawwa added that the bank will continue to work to meet the financial needs and aspirations of its customers through its campaigns and programs, and maintain its position among other banks and financial institutions as a leading bank that plays its economic and developmental role.
The campaign will run for three months and end on June 30, 2023. The minimum purchase amount to be eligible for the daily prize is 50 shekels, and the maximum is 2,000 shekels or the equivalent in other currencies. The more transactions made through the machines, the higher the chance for customers and merchants to win. Merchants will also receive the same value of purchases made, up to a maximum of 2,000 shekels, when buying from any store that has Bank of Palestine's point-of-sale machines.
