For the 10th consecutive day, a support and relief committee tasked by Hebron Governor Khaled Dudin has continued its round-the-clock field operations to assist families forced to leave their homes by Israeli forces and address the needs of residents affected by the ongoing military operation in the city.

The committee reported that approximately 537 families, comprising around 3,300 people, have been forced to leave their homes. The total number of people affected by the military operation is estimated at approximately 5,000, while around 750 families remain displaced or continue to suffer the consequences of the siege and closures imposed on the targeted areas.

Daily economic losses exceed 12 million shekels

The economic impact of the military operation has been substantial. Direct daily economic losses have exceeded 12 million shekels, while damage to infrastructure has surpassed 6 million shekels. Losses affecting the health and environmental sectors have also exceeded 500,000 shekels.

According to the committee's figures, 327 shops and commercial establishments have been completely shut down, while 15 facilities have been entirely destroyed. The continued siege and restrictions have disrupted commercial and economic activity in the targeted areas, placing additional pressure on the livelihoods of thousands of residents and workers.

The committee stressed that the consequences of the siege and closures extend beyond the targeted areas, affecting the wider Hebron Governorate and the city in particular. These restrictions have further exacerbated the humanitarian, economic and living conditions facing residents and various sectors.

Relief efforts continue around the clock

As part of its relief operations, the committee has delivered and distributed assistance to all affected families. Aid has included food parcels and supplies, infant formula, cleaning products, mattresses, blankets, women's hygiene supplies and other essential household items.

The committee has also been working to secure alternative accommodation for families forced to leave their homes.

The committee brings together official, civil society, health and security institutions, international organisations, the private sector, local community representatives and the Fatah movement's Central Hebron branch.

It reaffirmed its commitment to continuing relief operations, ensuring that assistance reaches affected families, meeting their essential needs and strengthening their resilience amid the difficult conditions facing the governorate.

The committee emphasised that its work would continue around the clock, guided by its national and humanitarian responsibilities and its duty to stand alongside and support the Palestinian people during these exceptional circumstances.
