At least 12 Palestinians were killed and others wounded since dawn on Saturday in Israeli airstrikes on several areas of the Gaza Strip, according to local and medical sources.
Medical officials said four people, including two children and a woman, were killed and several others injured when Israeli warplanes struck a residential apartment near Abbas Junction in western Gaza City.
Additional casualties were reported after an airstrike hit another apartment near Jabalia Junction in eastern Gaza City, the sources said.
In southern Gaza, three Palestinians were killed and six others wounded — one critically — when an Israeli strike hit a tent sheltering the Abu Hadaid family in the Asdaa area, northwest of Khan Younis.
The Gaza Strip also saw several other strikes that caused injuries, including an airstrike on a residential apartment near Jabalia Junction in eastern Gaza City.
Israeli forces also carried out a helicopter strike near the Al-Jalaa area northwest of Gaza City, in addition to two airstrikes southeast of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
Since a ceasefire agreement came into effect on Oct. 11, more than 1,850 Palestinians have been killed or wounded in what Palestinian officials describe as over 1,300 Israeli violations of the truce.
