Participants in a conference held in the United States have emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the Israeli war of genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.

The conference, organized by 13 U.S.-based organizations, including the US Palestinian Council, was held under the sponsorship of Reverend Jesse Jackson. It drew thousands of attendees online and in-person, featuring speeches from various members of Congress.

Renowned figures in the U.S., such as Dr. Cornel West, Professor Mark Lamont, Professor Peter Beinart, Dr. James Zogby, Professor John Zogby, and more, also addressed the gathering.

The event commenced with a welcoming address from the Executive Director of the Rev. Jesse Jackson Jackson-Rainbow PUSH Coalition, Bishop Frederick Hantz III.

Speakers and Congressional participants at the conference stressed the immediate need to halt the ongoing massacres against the Palestinian people in Gaza, carried out by the extremist Israeli government under the leadership of Prime Minister Netanyahu.

They called for an immediate and permanent cessation of hostilities in Gaza, urging the United States to facilitate unimpeded access for humanitarian aid overseen by the United Nations to reach Gaza without obstacles.

This aid includes the swift delivery of life-saving assistance, reconstruction efforts, stability restoration, and the return of displaced Palestinians to their homes and neighborhoods.
