Tubas / PNN /
It did not disappoint; the 500 acres of agricultural land came to fruition. After a few months of responding to the call made by friends of Arabian Nature and their support for the farmers of these lands to protect them from confiscation through the "Resilient Wheat" campaign, the time for harvest has come in the season of abundance in Tubas, northern Palestinian Jordan Valley.
The farmers' call arose from their need, as their agricultural lands are subjected to daily targeting by the Zionist occupation and settlers. Abandoning farming would inevitably lead to confiscation. Therefore, the farmers welcomed this project with great enthusiasm and put their efforts into its success, urging for its continuation in the coming seasons.
The farmers invited the Arabian Nature Foundation team to participate in the harvesting and grinding of wheat. The beneficiary families of the wheat cultivation campaign welcomed the team with loaves of locally grown wheat bread, reaffirming their self-sufficiency.
Razan Za'iter, the Chairperson of the Administrative Board of Arabian Nature Foundation, stated that the "Resilient Wheat" campaign in Tubas, launched by Arabian Nature at the beginning of this year, represents a sustainable project for protecting lands from confiscation. A portion of the yield will be allocated for distribution to farmers, while another portion will support needy families and ensure their food security.
