Israeli media sources and Al Arabiya channel reported that Egypt is exerting significant pressure to reach a ceasefire as soon as possible, where Egyptian intelligence is conducting shuttle negotiations through communication channels with the Palestinian and Israeli sides to achieve a breakthrough towards a ceasefire.

Egyptian sources told Al Arabiya and some Israeli media that Egypt has decided to send security delegations to Israel and Gaza to agree on a long-term ceasefire.

The sources also reported that Israel informed Egypt of its agreement to stop targeting the leaders of the Jihad movement and to implement a ceasefire.

The sources also said that Israel expressed reservations about some of the demands of the Palestinian factions.

According to Channel 12, Israeli sources said that Egypt told Israel that the ongoing military round could end soon.

Tal Lev-Ram said that Israeli officials believe that the chances of a ceasefire in the coming hours are high.
