Rumors of Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh's resignation, which were circulating on social media, have been denied by a spokesperson from the Prime Minister's office. The spokesperson spoke with Monjed Jado, Editor of Chief from Palestine News Network and confirmed that the rumors are false.
The rumors had suggested that the Prime Minister was planning to resign in response to the recent strikes by various unions, including those representing teachers, engineers, lawyers, and journalists, who were protesting for higher pay.
However, the spokesperson stated that the government was committed to resolving these issues and working towards improving conditions for all workers.
Despite defending the government's positions in a recent interview with Palestine TV, the prime minister faced increasing pressure from these unions.
