A Palestinian man identified as Mohammad Ibrahim Shaham, 21, who was early morning shot at close range by a special Israeli army force after breaking into his family home in the Kufr Aqab neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem, was reported dead several hours later.
According to Shaham’s father, Ibrahim, a special army force broke into their house after three in the morning and immediately opened fire on him and his son after they came out of their rooms to see what is happening.
He said he immediately ran back into his room while his son was shot in the head at point blank.
The army left his son bleeding for 40 minutes before taking him away, he said, adding that the family did not know the whereabouts or the situation of its son after that.
The Israeli army later said Shaham has died of his wounds.
