The Ministry of Interior in Jordan has implemented a new facility in order to ease the movement of those departing to the West Bank through King Hussein Bridge in order to prevent overcrowding. For this reason, it has been decided that pre-booking through an electronic link to the company providing transportation to the King Hussein Bridge will be available.
In a statement, the Jordanian Ministry of Interior stressed that “the adoption of the mechanism of pre-booking for users of the King Hussein Bridge comes within the framework of continuing efforts to support the Palestinians, and within the ministry’s procedures, to facilitate the movement of departures on the bridge towards the West Bank lands.
The procedure will enable passengers to know the time of departure, bus number and the seat number before crossing the bridge, the ministry said. The ministry said that it will coordinate with all stakeholders concerned with facilitating procedures on the Jordanian side of the bridge.
