The Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp confirmed the number of casualties, saying people were struck at the funeral for a Palestinian killed in a strike earlier on Friday.

Israel and the Hamas resistance group agreed to a ceasefire deal in October aimed at halting a two-year-long genocidal Israeli war on the Palestinian territory.

However, Israel has killed at least 1,123 people since the ceasefire took effect.

Israel's ongoing attacks, refusal to withdraw from agreed areas, and continued restrictions have undermined progress toward the agreement's second phase, which was intended to transfer control from Hamas to a technocratic government and begin reconstruction of the war-ravaged territory.

Israel has also repeatedly violated the ceasefire by expanding its occupation and maintaining its blockade of Gaza.
