Israeli occupation forces on Sunday suppressed a protest organized by students of the Um Al-Khair School in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, in rejection of their continued denial of access to their school for the seventh consecutive day.
According to Khaleel Al-Hathaleen, director of public relations at the Yatta Education Directorate, the protest was organized by the education directorate with the participation of residents of Umm Al-Khair village to denounce the deprivation of 51 male and female students from their right to education.
He added that Israeli forces, accompanied by police dogs, prevented students and participants from expressing their protest and obstructed their access to the school, continuing measures that disrupt the regular educational process.
Al-Hathaleen noted that Masafer Yatta has been witnessing a rise in violations against schools and students, including the pursuit of teachers, threats of detention and physical assaults, as part of broader restrictions affecting educational activity in the area.
