An elderly man was injured on Wednesday after being run over by a settler during an attack carried out by dozens of settlers against farmers in the Marj Si‘ area, near the western entrance to the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah.

Local sources told PNN that settlers attacked farmers in the agricultural area, before one of them deliberately ran over a farmer from the village of Abu Falah while he was working on his land, leaving him injured. He was later transferred to hospital for treatment.

The sources added that dozens of settlers launched a large-scale attack on farmers in Marj Si‘, prompting youths from al-Mughayyir to move in to protect the land and farmers and confront the assaults.

Youths from al-Mughayyir set fire to the settler’s vehicle used in the ramming, in an attempt to respond to the ongoing attacks and protect the land and farmers.
