TULKARM / PNN /

Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on the city of Tulkarm and its camp for the 48th consecutive day, and on the Nur Shams camp for the 34th day, amidst heavy reinforcements, raids on homes, and the forced displacement of residents.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces sent military reinforcements toward the city and its two camps, and deployed infantry squads in the neighborhoods of Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps and their surroundings. The forces fired live ammunition and sound bombs, and heard explosions, accompanied by intense reconnaissance flights.

She added that the occupation forces, with their heavy machinery and bulldozers, reinforced their military presence in front of the houses they seized on Nablus Street, which connects the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, turning them into military barracks. They also set up mobile checkpoints to restrict the movement of civilians.

Israeli occupation forces stormed the eastern part of the employee housing complex in the Aktaba suburb, opposite Nour Shams camp. They raided several homes, detained their residents, and subjected them to interrogation. They also deployed infantry units on Al-Sikka Street and set up checkpoints to search citizens and stop vehicles.

In the same context, Israeli occupation forces launched a large-scale campaign of raids on homes in and around Nour Shams camp, specifically Jabal al-Nasr and the Mahjar neighborhood. They forced residents to leave their homes shortly before iftar, amid heavy gunfire and flash bombs to terrorize residents.

Infantry units were deployed in the neighborhoods of Tulkarm camp, firing heavy live ammunition and pursuing citizens as they headed to check on their homes in the camp.

The Israeli occupation forces set up flying military checkpoints at various times during their ongoing aggression at several key locations inside the city and at its entrances, particularly on Nablus Street, the employee housing neighborhood in the eastern Aktaba suburb, the street near the Thabet Thabet Government Hospital, and the southern entrance to the city.

The ongoing aggression on the city and its two camps has resulted in the killing of 13 civilians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens have also been injured and detained, and more than 12,000 people have been forcibly displaced from Nour Shams camp and a similar number from Tulkarm camp.
