On Thursday, the Israeli occupation army continued its bombardment of northern Gaza, leaving civil defense teams unable to retrieve the bodies of the martyrs in Jabalia amid warnings of famine affecting 200,000 people.

The Gaza Civil Defense announced its inability to retrieve dozens of martyrs in Jabalia, stating, "Jabalia is being annihilated and subjected to systematic death."

They reported that 200,000 Palestinians have been without food, water, or medicine for the 12th consecutive day in Jabalia camp. The statement also reminded that "for the 12th day in a row, the Israeli army has been shelling and demolishing buildings and infrastructure in the northern Gaza governorate."

This comes amid an ongoing ethnic cleansing campaign carried out by the Israeli army as part of the genocide that began on October 7, 2023.

Earlier, eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli army conducted arson and demolition operations on buildings and homes belonging to Palestinian citizens in Jabalia camp in northern Gaza. They noted hearing violent explosions from the camp, resulting from the Israeli army's demolitions of Palestinian homes, buildings, and properties.

Since October 6, the Israeli army has initiated a new military operation in the northern Gaza governorate, tightening its siege on Jabalia area and preventing residents from fleeing to the nearby city of Gaza. Instead, they were ordered to evacuate only via Salah al-Din Street, which runs along the eastern part of the Gaza Strip from the north to the south.

This marks the third ground operation carried out by the Israeli army in Jabalia camp since the beginning of the genocide against Gaza on October 7, 2023.

In this context, a reporter for the official agency reported that Israeli artillery fired shells at the northwest of Al-Nuseirat in central Gaza. Meanwhile, Al-Qassam Brigades stated that they caused casualties among the occupying forces by detonating explosive devices west of Jabalia city. They also announced the destruction of two military bulldozers in western Jabalia and eastern Rafah.

Al-Quds Brigades confirmed that they targeted three Merkava tanks in an ambush alongside Al-Qassam in the center of Jabalia camp. For its part, the Israeli army announced the interception of a rocket launched toward the Gaza envelope, stating that it continues its military operation in Jabalia.

With U.S. support, the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza since October 7 has resulted in over 141,000 dead and injured, with more than 10,000 missing, amidst widespread destruction and famine that have claimed the lives of dozens of children and the elderly.
