In a strongly worded condemnation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has criticized the Israeli Foreign Minister for his recent unwarranted and direct assault on the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Antonio Guterres.

This vehement denunciation follows an act that is considered unjustified and outright disrespectful. It is seen as a continuation of Israel's disregard for the United Nations, its Charter, and the resolutions pertaining to the Palestinian cause, which are at the core of international legitimacy.

The attack is further viewed as a fresh attempt by Israel to undermine the authority and role of the United Nations and its international legitimacy in the broader conflict. 

This notably includes sidelining the position of the United Nations Secretary-General, whose stance consistently aligns with international law and the principles outlined in the United Nations Charter.

The responsibilities of the Secretary-General, his team, and their recognized representatives are integral to their ongoing work and dedication to ending the ongoing destructive aggression perpetrated by the occupation against the Palestinian population. 

Additionally, their efforts are focused on stemming the displacement of Palestinians and urgently establishing humanitarian corridors to facilitate the continuous flow of humanitarian aid to those in need.
