Three Palestinian, including a child, were Monday killed by Israeli gunfire during the ongoing Israeli military raid in the occupied West Bank city and refugee camp of Jenin, the Ministry of Health confirmed.
The Ministry said that Khaled Asa'sah, 21, Ahmad Saqer, 15, and Qassam Abu Siryie, 29, succumbed to the wounds he sustained during the raid.
29 Palestinians have been Monday injured, six of them in critical condition, during an Israeli military raid.
Large Israeli army units raided the city and camp, sparking confrontations with Palestinians, during which the soldiers fired live bullets and sound and toxic gas canisters.
Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh, Monday said that Israel is waging an open war on Palestinians.
The PLO official took to Twitter to say that Palestinians are “in the midst of a comprehensive battle on all fronts.”
“A fierce and open war is being waged against the Palestinian people politically, security and economically by the occupation forces,” he said. “We are in the midst of a comprehensive battle on all fronts that requires the unity of our people in the face of this aggression.”
“Unprecedented decisions that must be taken in the emergency leadership meeting chaired by the President,” he concluded.
