Israeli occupation forces arrested ten citizens today, Thursday, while they were passing through the military checkpoints they have set up at the entrances to the city of Jericho, which has been under siege for the sixth consecutive day.
Palestinian security sources reported that the occupation forces continued to set up their military checkpoints at the main and secondary entrances to the city, stopped vehicles, searched them, and checked the identity cards of their passengers, causing severe traffic jams.
In this context, Eid Brahma, the director of the Prisoners' Club in Jericho, said that the occupation forces arrested ten citizens at the checkpoints scattered at the entrances to Jericho from yesterday evening until dawn today. The detainees are: Mohammad Bassam Issa Hamidat (20 years old), Wasid Husni Mohammad Ayoush (31 years old), Mohammad Ali Ibrahim Awad (34 years old), Ghaleb Hussain Ahmad Zaban (36 years old), all of whom are from the Aqaba Jabr camp. Also, Mohammad Hussein Mahmoud Tabbah, Jamal Mohammad Abdel Fattah Atta, Fayez Ramzi Mohammad Hassan Aweidat Bilhan, Abdullah Al-Haj Mohammad from the village of Al-Mughayer in Ramallah, Ahmed Kazem Saeed Al-Faynu from Nablus, and Shams al-Din Abdel-Mu'ti Yousef Abu al-Husain from the Ain al-Sultan camp in Jericho.
