President Mahmoud Abbas met with the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammad bin Salman, in the city of Jeddah.
The President briefed the Saudi Crown Prince on the latest political developments of the Palestinian cause and the situation in the occupied Palestinian territory.
President Abbas praised the great achievements and the comprehensive renaissance achieved by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various fields in light of its Vision 2030, and work to strengthen the Kingdom's presence and raise its leading position at the regional and international levels, appreciating its active and important role in supporting the nation's causes, at the forefront of which is support for the cause of Palestinian people, all the way to obtain their legitimate rights to freedom, independence and sovereignty in the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and adherence to the Arab peace initiative.
The meeting discussed the Palestinian-Saudi relations and ways to strengthen them as it was agreed to continue coordination at all levels.
The situation in the region was also discussed, and ways to make the upcoming Arab summit in Riyadh a success.
The Crown Prince affirmed the Kingdom's firm stances in support of the Palestinian cause and for the Palestinian people to obtain their freedom and independence.
