A Palestinian paramedic was Monday shot by Israeli gunfire during a military raid into the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, local sources said.
The sources told journalists that Israeli soldiers opened fire at a Red Crescent ambulance vehicle, injuring paramedic Murad Khamaysa live bullet shrapnel in the leg.
Khamaysa was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Meawhile, Israeli forces detained former prisoner Mohammad Abu Khalifa after raiding his home.
Abu Khalifa spent 18 years behind Israeli bars, according to the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS.)
