Bethlehem/PNN / Israeli occupation forces have killed a young Palestinian man in what is claimed to be a response to a stabbing attack in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron. Palestine's local sources said the killing was carried out on Friday afternoon as the Israeli occupation forces opened fire on the young Palestinian at the entrance to the village of Beit Einun, five kilometers northeast of Hebron. The sources cited eyewitnesses as reporting that Israeli soldiers had prevented the ambulance from reaching Fadi Gahttas from Dhisha refugee camp in Bethlehem and transferring him to the hospital after the shooting. A video from the scene showed that Israeli occupation soldiers open fire at the young man from a close range while he was lying on the ground. Reports further indicated that clashes erupted with Israeli forces at the entrance to Beit Einun, with the soldiers firing stun grenades and poisonous tear gas at the citizens who tried to approach to rescue the young man. The fatal shooting came a day after Israeli forces killed two Palestinian men during two separate raids in the West Bank. The men were identified as Samer Khaled, 25, from al-Ain refugee camp in Nablus, and Yazan Affaneh, 26, from Umm al-Sharayet neighborhood south of Ramallah. The Gaza-based Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR ) said in a recent report that Israeli military forces have killed more than one hundred Palestinians, and wounded hundreds more during raids and various acts of aggression in the West Bank and the besieged Gaza Strip since the beginning of this year. The PCHR said in the report that 112 Palestinians, including 81 civilians, have lost their lives as a result of repeated Israeli assaults. The Gaza-based rights group also reported that 1,277 civilians, including 195 children, 39 women and 22 journalists, were injured in the West Bank and Gaza during the mentioned period.
