Dear Fellow Americans,
Happy Fourth of July!
As fireworks light up the sky in celebration of our nation’s independence, they remind us of the enduring values that form the foundation of the United States: freedom, justice, equality, and the unalienable rights of all people to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
On this day, as we gather with family and friends to honor the sacrifices of those who fought for our freedoms, let us also pause to reflect on the true meaning of liberty—not just as a privilege, but as a responsibility. While we rejoice in our hard-won freedoms, we must remember those around the world who continue to live under oppression, denied the very rights we celebrate today.
Among them are the Palestinian people, who remain steadfast in their struggle for dignity, self-determination, and the most basic human rights. Their resilience is a powerful reminder that the fight for freedom is not yet over for everyone.
In the spirit of the Fourth of July—and in fidelity to the values that define us as Americans—let us extend our compassion and commitment beyond our borders. Let us stand in solidarity with those who continue to yearn for justice and peace. Supporting the rights of the oppressed, including the Palestinians, is not just an act of charity—it is a fulfillment of the promise of America.
May this Independence Day be both joyful and reflective, a celebration not only of our freedoms but of our shared humanity and our responsibility to build a world where liberty and justice truly are for all.
With hope and gratitude,
