How can a man who incites division and destruction be considered a man of peace, let alone be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize? How can he claim to champion peace while simultaneously opening the “doors of hell”? Perhaps this is the only experience he truly understands—because if he had ever known what heaven is, he wouldn’t speak or act in such a way.
As a Palestinian Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ, I believe in peace, justice, and love, even for one’s enemies. Christ, our Servant Leader, suffered on the cross to save the world, teaching us to embrace nonviolence and to uphold justice. That is why we follow, worship and praise Him.
Mr. President, your words, and actions contradict the very essence of peace:
• Trump Threatens “Hell” to All Palestinians in Gaza
• Trump Proposes U.S. Takeover of Gaza, Suggests All Palestinians Should Leave
• Trump: US Will ‘Take Over’ Gaza, Level It, and Create ‘The Riviera of the Middle East’
• Trump Warns ‘All Hell Is Going to Break Out’
• Trump's Push to Fire Federal Workers
• Crackdown on Federal Employees: Fired Over Teams Meet, Given 30 Minutes to Leave
• Trump Poised to Deliver Yet Another Devastating Blow to Ukrainians
• Trump Considers Revoking Legal Status for 240,000 Ukrainians
As an American Republican, I appeal to you: Have mercy on the American, Palestinian, and Ukrainian people. True strength lies in justice and compassion, not in cruelty and destruction.
During this Lenten season, may God bless the Americans, the Ukrainians, and especially the Palestinians, who are suffering the most.
Blessings to all.
