A Palestinian citizen succumbed to his wounds on Sunday morning after being shot and seriously injured by Israeli occupation forces the previous night in the city of Hebron, south of the West Bank.

The Ministry of Health said it was informed by the General Authority of Civil Affairs of the death of Shaker Falah al-Jaabari, 58, who was shot by Israeli forces in Hebron on Saturday night. The ministry added that Israeli authorities seized his body.

According to local sources, Israeli forces opened fire on a vehicle in the Khallet Hadour area east of Hebron on Saturday evening, seriously wounding al-Jaabari. He was subsequently detained by the forces, who prevented ambulances and civilians from reaching him.
