Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has sent a letter to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, reaffirming Egypt’s firm and longstanding support for the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people.
According to presidential spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, El-Sisi stressed in his message that “the entire world is witnessing the legendary resilience of the Palestinian people in the face of injustice and tyranny.”
El-Sisi noted that the suffering of Palestinians is not confined to the atrocities in Gaza but “extends to the West Bank and Jerusalem,” where they face daily “systematic practices” including movement restrictions, land confiscation, and the protection of settler attacks against unarmed civilians.
The president said that the decades-long humanitarian crisis compels the international community to shoulder its “humanitarian and moral duty” to support the Palestinian people by all possible means.
El-Sisi reiterated that Egypt has always been—and will continue to be—deeply committed to the Palestinian cause.
He urged the international community to take responsibility for rebuilding war-ravaged Gaza, restoring human dignity, and contributing to early recovery and reconstruction efforts.
He further stressed that supporting the Palestinian Authority remains a key priority, enabling it to fulfill its obligations to its people and provide essential public services.
In closing, El-Sisi paid tribute to the Palestinian people, reaffirming that Egypt will continue to stand by them in all arenas and at every level.
