Bethlehem / PNN – Today, Monday, occupation forces closed several main entrances and roads in Bethlehem Governorate, causing severe traffic congestion and disrupting the movement of citizens between central and southern West Bank.
According to local sources, the occupation forces closed the Tuqu’ roundabout at the town’s western entrance on the main road, as well as the only main entrance to the town of Marah Rabah, preventing vehicles from passing in both directions. This led to a buildup of traffic and a halt to movement in the area.
In the same context, the occupation forces completely closed the “Container” checkpoint, one of the most important crossings linking central and southern West Bank, further exacerbating the traffic crisis and preventing residents from reaching their workplaces and service centers.
These measures come as the occupation forces continue to tighten their blockade and carry out sudden road closures in West Bank governorates, worsening the daily suffering of citizens and obstructing movement between cities and towns.
