Tulkarm / PNN – At dawn today, Monday, Israeli occupation forces detonated an old cave dating back to before 1967, located in a garden surrounded by homes belonging to the Khreisheh family in the Jabal Al-Sayyid area of the Dhannaba neighborhood, east of Tulkarm.
According to press sources, a massive explosion occurred at around five in the morning, and its sound was heard throughout the city, its suburbs, and its two refugee camps. The explosion caused damage to several nearby homes, shattering window glass and doors, damaging roof tiles, and causing tree leaves to fall due to the intensity of the blast, with no injuries reported.
Citizen Ibrahim Khreisheh said that the occupation forces had raided his home and the homes of his two brothers, Omar and Muhammad Khreisheh, at around midnight, detaining the residents for more than three hours before forcing them to leave, claiming that they would be carrying out an explosion in the garden and that they could return after hearing the blast.
He added that the occupation soldiers conducted extensive searches of the homes and their surroundings, accompanied by police dogs, and arrested his son, Khalil Ibrahim Khreisheh (26 years old), a veterinarian, taking him to an unknown location.
This attack comes as part of the ongoing assault on the city of Tulkarm and its two refugee camps, Tulkarm and Nur Shams, for the 295th consecutive day, amid heavy military reinforcements and a siege preventing camp residents from reaching their homes, along with continuous sounds of gunfire in the area.
