Palestinian sources reported that the Israeli occupation intends to transfer patients from Gaza currently in Jerusalem, along with their companions and children born in the city, without clarifying their final destination.

The notice received by the media indicated that the decision includes Al-Maqasid Hospital, Al-Mutala Hospital, and hotels where patients are staying within Jerusalem. The transfer is scheduled for Monday, 17/11/2025, at 5:00 a.m., using buses accompanied by military vehicles.

Sources expressed serious concerns regarding the safety of the route and the conditions of transport, calling on human rights organizations, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and relevant Palestinian governmental authorities to urgently follow up and ensure the protection of patients, children, and their companions from potential risks.

At least 89 Palestinian patients from Gaza and their companions receiving treatment in Jerusalem face the threat of forced relocation by Israeli authorities, according to their families and medical teams.

Many of these patients were evacuated before the war in Gaza began two years ago, and some now fear returning to the devastated Gaza Strip, where World Health Organization (WHO) data indicate that 94% of hospitals were damaged or completely destroyed.

While most patients have agreed to return voluntarily, some are expected to be sent back forcibly to Gaza.

The WHO reported that the Israeli army requested the organization to facilitate the transfer of patients early next week, amid concerns about their safety and transport conditions.

The WHO confirmed that over 900 patients in Gaza have died due to delays in medical evacuation for treatment outside the territory, caused by the ongoing Israeli blockade.

Approximately 16,500 patients are still awaiting approval to travel for treatment, including 4,000 children in urgent need of evacuation. The organization warned that any delay in addressing critical cases amounts to a death sentence.

The WHO emphasized that continued restrictions on patient movement exacerbate the health disaster and threaten the lives of thousands of cases that cannot be treated within the already medically exhausted Gaza Strip.
