Jordan Valley – PNN – Last night, settlers attacked livestock equipment and plowed lands in the northern Jordan Valley.

Mehdi Draghmeh, head of the al-Maleh and Bedouin encampments village council, reported that settlers stole iron gates from a cattle pen and damaged the tires of a water tanker belonging to citizen Abdul Rabbu Bani Odeh in the Deir area of the northern Jordan Valley.

In a related incident, settlers plowed tens of dunams of citizens’ lands last night in Khirbet Samra in the northern Jordan Valley.

Draghmeh stated that the settlers plowed about 250 dunams of privately owned (“tabu”) lands in the area, just days after fencing hundreds of dunams there.

In recent weeks, settlers have fenced thousands of dunams of agricultural and grazing lands in various areas of the northern Jordan Valley as a form of imposing Israeli sovereignty over the eastern strip of Tubas Governorate.
