Ramallah – PNN – The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said that since last night and until this morning, Israeli occupation forces have carried out a large-scale campaign of arrests and field interrogations across the West Bank, including Jerusalem, detaining at least 40 Palestinians, among them former prisoners.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Prisoners’ Club explained that the arrests and interrogations were concentrated mainly in the city of Dura in the Hebron governorate, where most of those detained were later released. The remaining arrests took place in the governorates of Ramallah, Nablus, and Tulkarem.

The organization added that the arrests were accompanied by widespread raids, abuse, and assaults against detainees and their families, as well as extensive destruction and vandalism of citizens’ homes.

The Prisoners’ Club also noted that the occupation has been pursuing a series of systematic policies in the areas it invades, most notably widespread field interrogations targeting dozens of families across all governorates. Since the start of the war of extermination, the total number of arrests in the West Bank has reached approximately 20,500 cases.
