 The Israeli organization “Peace Now” reported that the number of housing units for which Israel issued tenders in the West Bank during 2025 has reached 5,667 units.

The anti-settlement organization explained that the approved units could accommodate 25,000 settlers.

It emphasized that this number of settlement units represents a record for a single year, while the previous record was 3,808 units in 2018.

The organization added: “Netanyahu’s government exploits every moment in power to destroy Israel’s chances for a future of peace and prosperity.”

It stressed that building thousands of additional homes in the settlements and adding tens of thousands of settlers in the West Bank only deepens the hole Israel must climb out of.
