On Monday morning, voting began for Egyptians residing inside the country in the first phase of the 2025 Egyptian House of Representatives elections. The voting will continue over two days, November 10 and 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The National Election Authority, headed by Counselor Hazem Badawi, announced the start of voting in 5,606 sub-committees distributed across 14 governorates included in the first phase, out of a total of 10,893 committees nationwide.
In this phase, 1,281 candidates are competing under the individual system, alongside two electoral lists covering the sectors of northern, central, and southern Upper Egypt, as well as western Delta.
Egyptians living abroad cast their votes at Egyptian embassies and consulates in 117 countries over the past Friday and Saturday.
The second phase of the elections is scheduled for November 21 and 22 for Egyptians abroad, and November 24 and 25 for voters inside the country, covering 13 governorates.
