Palestinian international striker Oday Dabbagh had a sensational start to his Aberdeen career in the Scottish Football Premier League, when he scored a dramatic 91st minute winner against Kilmarnock on Saturday.

With the game heading for a 0-0 draw, Oday struck with a brilliant instinctive finish, reacting first to redirect the ball high into the net after a flick on from an Aberdeen corner.

Having been introduced as a substitute in the 66th minute, It was Oday’s first appearance at Aberdeen’s Pittodrie Stadium in front of his home supporters. And his clinical strike in injury time sent them into ecstasy, as well as making himself an instant hero to the Aberdeen faithful.

Speaking to Aberdeen’s Red TV after the game, Oday said it was a ‘crazy feeling’ to score his first goal in such dramatic fashion.

"I’m so happy to get such an important three points, for scoring my first goal, and for the performance of the team," said Oday. Thanking the ‘crazy supporters’, Oday added that he was ‘looking to score more and more goals’, which will be music to Dons’ fans ears.

Prior to the Palestinian striker's arrival, Aberdeen had been struggling to score and had gone on a run of fourteen games without a win. However, with Saturday’s victory coming off the back of a league win at Dundee, Aberdeen fans are hopeful their team can get back to winning ways.

And following his crucial goal at Pittodrie on Saturday, many Dons supporters firmly believe that Oday Dabbagh will be the man to help them do just that.
