President Mahmoud Abbas issued a presidential decree sending a number of governors of several governorates in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip to retirement.

In the Gaza Strip, the Governor of North Gaza, the Governor of Gaza, the Governor of Khan Yunis, and the Governor of Rafah were sent to retirement by the presidential decree.

In the West Bank, the President sent to retirement the Governors of Jenin, Nablus, Qalqilya, Tulkarm, Bethlehem, Hebron, Tubas, and Jericho.

President Abbas also issued a presidential decree to form a committee commissioned with selecting candidates for the vacant governorships and recommending them to the President for final decision.
