Amjad Ja'as, a 48-year-old resident of Jenin refugee camp, has succumbed to his injuries sustained yesterday, raising the number of casualties from the Israeli massacre to 6.
The martyr, Ja'as, was receiving treatment at Rafidia Hospital in Nablus after being transferred there in critical condition.
Ja'as was the father of martyr Wasim, who was killed in January of this year during a massacre committed by the occupation forces in the camp, which resulted in the martyrdom of 10 individuals.
Yesterday The number of Palestinians killed in the Israeli army raid on Jenin refugee camp in the early morning hours of Monday rose to five, according to the Health Ministry.
The Ministry said that five Palestinians were killed and 91 others were wounded, including 23 in critical condition, by Israeli military gunfire in the large raid on the refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank.
It named the fifth Palestinian killed in the raid as Ahmad Daraghmeh, a resident of Tubas district, while it earlier named the four other fatalities as 21-year-old Khaled Azzam Asa'sah, Ahmad Youssef Saqr, 15, Qassam Faisal Abu Sariya, 29 and Qais Majdi Jabareen, 21, all from Jenin.
The Health Ministry also reported that 63 casualties, including 10 in serious to critical condition, were rushed to Jenin Government Hospital.
One of the cases in critical condition is that of a 15-year-old girl who was shot in the head by Israeli forces and was transferred to Jenin Government Hospital.
The Ministry added that another case of a critical injury in the head was rushed to al-Razi Hospital, while the remaining 27 casualties, including 12 in critical condition, were taken to Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital.
Early today, sizable number of Israeli forces, comprising some 120 military vehicles, stormed the city, deploying snipers on the rooftops of some houses, triggering violent confrontations. An attack helicopters were used in the raid.
The heavily-armed soldier fired live ammunition, stun grenades and tear gas canisters, as an army armored bulldozer destroyed a water carrier pipeline supplying water to al-Jabiriyyat neighborhood and caused a large power blackout.
The Israeli troops, according to local correspondent, broke into the family house of Mus‘ab al-Barmaki and used the family members as human shields, before detaining two Palestinians.
