Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention continue their protest against the oppressive measures imposed on them by the extremist Israeli Minister of Public Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, for the 26th consecutive day.

These measures include controlling the amount of water provided to them and reducing the hours of access to designated shower areas in the new sections of the Negev and Jalboua prisons.

The prison administration informed the Prisoners' Affairs Commission that it would intensify and expand its punishments and threats if the prisoners continued their current actions. As a result, the Palestinian prisoner movement, based on unity, has announced an increase in its level of alertness and mobilization until the date of the open hunger strike in the upcoming month of Ramadan.

It is worth noting that the Emergency Committee has announced a series of steps against the measures of Ben Gvir, starting with disobedience and culminating in the open hunger strike on the first day of Ramadan.

The number of prisoners in Israeli jails is around 4,780, including 160 children, 29 female prisoners, and 914 administrative detainees.
