Nablus / PNN /
Israeli extremists settlers continued in their rampage and provocations in the occupied West Bank storming villages and attacking Palestinian civilians.
In the town of Kufl Haris, north of the northern West Bank city of Salfit, around 100 settlers broke this morning into the town under army protections and performed religious rituals while chanting anti-Palestinian slogans, local sources said.
Last night, settlers returned to the town of Hawara, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and attacked residents, shopkeepers and commuters on the main road, according to Ghassan Daghlas, a local official.
He said a Palestinian family traveling on the road was hurt when settlers threw rocks at its car, injuring the driver in the head and the rest of the family, including children, were injured from broken glass and gas, in addition to panic and damage caused to the car.
A settler, added Daghlas, fired live fire at another resident passing on the road causing damage to the car without anyone being hurt.
Residents came out to confront the settlers but were attacked by soldiers who joined the settlers in dancing in the town streets. Several people suffocated from inhaling gas fired by the soldiers.
Hawara was the scene last week of a pogrom by settlers who set dozens of Palestinian homes and vehicles ablaze, killed one person and injured over 350 others.
