ImageBethlehem / Najib Farrag - Thursday evening Israeli forces are again invading northern Bethlehem and Al Azzeh Refugee Camp. Earlier in the day Israeli undercover units penetrated central Bethlehem and abducted 20 year old Izadin Abdul Karim Sadaq. Seven soldiers dressed in civilian clothes drove a white car into the Cinema intersection.

Jumping out, the Israelis began beating Sadaq in front of dozens of people before dragging him into the car. They sped off to the main street where four military vehicles were waiting to accompany them out of Area A.

An Israeli military spokesperson claimed the young man was “wanted” for membership in Fateh’s Al Aqsa Brigades without giving further details.

Sadaq was released from prison just six months ago where he had spent four and a half years after being arrested at 15.

Secretary General of the Fateh movement in the Bethlehem Governorate Mohammad Taha noted that Israeli forces have invaded the city six days in a row. “The all-out war against our people, institutions and property is being waged without mercy or regard for human dignity.”

The Palestinian Authority is being criticized for not taking a more active role in negotiating with the Israelis to stop the attacks in areas designated under Oslo to be under PA control.
