Bethlehem / PNN - After decades in Israeli prisons, Sa'ed Al A'taba' and Mohammad 'Abu Ali' Yatta are finally going to be released.

The list of 200 names of Palestinian political prisoners to be released from Israeli prisons was published in Hebrew on Monday afternoon following the Israeli government meeting.

This period of release is what is considered by the Israelis as a "good will gesture" to President Abbas, although Israeli Minister of Transportation Shaul Mofaz said that instead of being seen as such it will be perceived as a sign of weakness on the part of the Israelis.

Besides Sa'ed Al A'taba',  arrested before Oslo in 1977, none on the list have been imprisoned for long. However, Mohammad 'Abu Ali' Yatta is the second biggest name on that list. All families are waiting.
