On Monday, 6th August, the mother of Palestinian prisoner Yahya Esleih died while onboard one of the busses that transferred the prisoners' families from Gaza Strip to visit their sons in Israeli jails.
A member of the Waed Association for Captives and Ex-Captives, Saber Abu Karsh, said in a press release that Aisha Esleih was from Khan Younes, south of Gaza Strip, and she died without seeing her son since he was arrested, because the parents of the prisoners from Gaza were denied the access for visiting their sons in Israeli jails.
The prisoner Yahya Esleih has been arrested for 5 years and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Abu Karsh said that the parents of the 37 prisoners left today at dawn to visit their sons in prisons.
The visitation program was opened to prisoners after the captive movement in prisons signed an agreement with the prisons' administration. The visits were divided on several phases after the Israeli occupation prevented the parents from visiting their sons for 6 years.
