Farawana: 22 MPs ِِare Still in Israeli Prisons

Friday, 29th, director of the Department of Statistics, in the Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees in the Palestinian National Authority said that after the release of the two Members of the Palestinian Legislative Council from the Change and Reform Bloc, Khalil al-Rab'i and Nasser Abdul Jawwad, the number of Palestinian deputies in Israeli prisons has been reduced to 22 deputies.
He also said that in the past few days, five MPs were released and they are: Anwar Zaboun, Ayman Daraghmeh, Mohammad al-Tal, Khalil al-Rab'i and Nasser Abdul Jawwad, while, 22 other deputies are still in prisons.
19 deputies are affiliated with Hamas, the deputy Ahmad Sa'dat is the General-Secretary of the Popular Front, and two other deputies Marwan al-Barghouti and Jamal al-Terawe are affiliated with Fatah.
Farawna considered the kidnapping of the deputies and the continuation of their detention, a violation for the international laws and conventions and for the humanitarian, moral and democratic values.
Farawna called on the international, Arab and Islamic Parliaments to adopt this issue and intervene to put pressure on Israel to release them all.
