On Thursday, April 19th, the prisoners' center for studies expressed their condolences for the released prisoner Adel Mohammad Issa, 46, from Kufur Qassem, who was shot by unknown persons in his hometown. He had previously spent 14 years in Israeli prisons.
The released prisoner Ra'fat Hamdouna, director of the center, assured that Adel Issa had a history of struggle, sacrifice, courage and noble attitudes during his period in detention.
Adel had previously completed his Masters in political science from al-Quds University, from the Israeli prison.
Hamdoun considered this assassination as a hateful act and believed that the crime was masterminded by the Israeli´s. He stated that, in the Israeli Occupiers refusal to reveal the details of the crime, it is likely that they directly participated in and managed the process.
Hussam society for Detainees and Ex-Detainees condemned the assassination of Adel and considered it to be an ugly crime that came subsequent to threats that were issued by Israel and its leaders that released prisoners would be targeted.
The society lay full responsibility on Israel for committing this crime and called upon the Palestinian Authority and the Palestinian Liberation Organization to open an immediate investigation into the murder.
