Palestinian Shot by Israeli Guard Near Ma’ali Adumim Settlement

On Wednesday, 27th June, an Israeli security guard shot a Palestinian near Ma'ali Adumim settlement in the east Jerusalem, claiming that the man tried to steal his weapon.
An Israeli source said that the Palestinian was shot in his abdomen and was severely wounded. He was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital, southwest of Jerusalem.
A Palestinian media source said that the 30-year-old Palestinian man is from Bethlehem.
Israel's channel 10 claimed that the Palestinian man was in a shopping mall around 2 p.m. when he attacked the security guard and attempted to take his weapon. The Israeli security guard claimed he shot the Palestinian man in an act of self-defense.
