On Tuesday, 19th June, Israeli forces raided Dheisheh refugee camp and confrontations launched between Palestinians and the Israeli soldiers.

A force from Israeli army raided the camp at dawn, and broke into the house of Mohammad Yousef Zghari, 20, a student in al-Quds University. The soldiers searched the house, rummaged through the contents and then arrested Mohammad and took him to an unknown location.

During the incursion, dozens of Palestinians surrounded the house and attacked the soldiers with stones and empty bottles, protesting against the arrest. Confrontations launched between the Palestinians and the soldiers who also fired gas and tear bombs and rubber bullets towards the protesters.

The soldiers deliberately fired tear gas bombs in the yards of several houses in the camp, which caused several cases of suffocation and fainting by the Palestinians who inhaled the poisonous fumes.
