Israeli Forces Arrest Minors in Beit Ummar

On Monday, 11th June, Israeli occupation authorities continue with its policy of detaining minors from the village of Beit Ummar in Hebron.

Media spokesman of popular committee against settlement in Beit Ummar, Eyad Awad, said that Israeli authorities raided the neighborhoods of Beit Ummar, and broke into the house of Jamal khalil Abu Hashem, searched it and arrested his 16 year old son Mohammad.

Mohamad is a released prisoner, who served for 4 months in Israeli prison, suffers from several diseases and needs a continuous observation.

Israeli forces also broke into the house of Jawad Jamal Awad, searched it and arrested his 15 year old son Malik.

"Two weeks ago, Israeli forces arrested Malik's brother Rabe'16," Said Awad, "Confrontations launched between Palestinians, who protested against the arrest, and Israeli soldiers who responded by shooting tear and gas bombs towards Palestinians which caused suffocation cases among protesters."

Several Palestinians who were praying at Beit Ummar grand mosque were also suffocated and an Israeli soldier was hit by stone on the head and was transferred to Karmi tzur settlement.
