Wednesday, 23th May, the Israeli military prosecution and judicial authorities are dealing with 15 complaints alleging that the Israeli occupation forces failed to prevent attacks on Palestinians by settlers.

The most recent attack was last Saturday by settlers from "Yitzhar" settlement on the citizens of Aserat Qubaliyeh, where the Israeli forces failed to intervene and prevent the attack on Palestinians.

According to Israeli reports, it is the military prosecutor for operational matters who receives complaints about such cases, mostly from human rights organisations such as the "Yesh Din" and "B'Tselem."

The prosecution claims that the military occupation forces in most cases arrive at the scene after an escalation in confrontations between Palestinians and settlers.

Between the second intifada – September 2000 – and December 2011, the Israeli human rights organistation "B'Tselem" has sent 57 complaints to the military prosecutor regarding suspicions that the occupation forces failed to prevent attacks on Palestinians, or to prevent damage to their properties.
