On Wednesday, April 11th, several Palestinians suffered minor injuries during a protest against a group of settlers who tried to break into the Aqsa Mosque in the morning.

Member of Fatah Revolutionary Council Dimitry Dliani, told the official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, that a number of settlers tried to break into al-Aqsa mosque from the council's gate, south of the mosque.

He also said that some of the Jerusalemites Youths and the mosque's guards were injured during the protest; one of them was Khaled Abu Nijma.

"Settlers broke into the mosque, with the help of the Israeli police that was in the scene, and provided settlers with protection. The Israeli police existence at the mosque's entrances reinforces the siege that imposed on the mosque," said Dliani, "Police also prevented Palestinians from entering the mosque. Their presence is also considered as a kind of protection and cover for settlers and their practices."
