The youth mobilization has been organized to oppose the plans of the French government to buy Israeli military drone aircraft Heron-TP worth $ 500 million from Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI).

Palestinian youth and the BNC are launching the protests against the deal which cements French complicity in Israel's grave violations of international law and human rights in the wake of ongoing protests in France.

French activists have launched a campaign against the deal arguing that "when this outlaw state is guilty, day after day, of grave violations of international law, when there is a climate of austerity, when there are calls for demilitarization and for sanctions against Israel's impunity, we are outraged by the disgraceful choice made by the Ministry of Defence." The vice-chairs of the foreign affairs and defence and armed forces committees of the French Senate publicly opposed the deal as not suiting the interests of the French military. Nevertheless, French government and parliament seem determined to go ahead with the deal.

Further protests against the French-Israeli drones deal are planned to follow in Arab countries.
